Bentley at 18 months

Just found this from over a year ago and I never finished it....

Stats: 22.18 pounds (8th percentile)
(Should weigh 26 pounds)
      32.48 inches (56th percentile)
    18.8 inches head circumference

Will fold his arms for a prayer.  Usually just for a few seconds.  But he always has a smile because he is so proud of himself.

Finally (at 17.5months) will say "more" rather than just grunt or whine when he wants something.  He also says "please" sometimes too.  It is the cutest thing to hear "mo peas" ( more please)

New words:
Thank you
Brynee (Brynlee but he pronounces it without an "L")

Goes to sleep at 9 pm every night.  After a bath he drinks a bottle, then we sing him a couple of songs and lay him in the crib.   He sometimes cries for a few seconds but then rolls over and goes right to sleep.    I love rocking and holding him in the rocking chair.   He loves it too.   He gets all snuggled up with his head over my left arm and he doesn't squirm all over like Brynlee still does.   I could sit there for hours (but not really).
Bentley wakes up between 730 and 830 am, but most days it is a little before 8.   The first words out of his mouth are "eat" and "juice" every day.   So we go straight to the high chair to eat.
Then Bentley takes a nap at 130 pm and we usually have to wake him up at 5 pm

He continues to love his soft blankies.  He buries his face in it every time he sees it    I have to keep them hidden because he will try and drag it around on the tile floor and it will trip him every time.

Bentley is very much into exploring -AKA getting into everything! And I mean everything.    I am amazed everyday by the things that he finds or does.   He loves to climb on anything and everything

We are building a new house!

John found an ence homes subdivision online and insisted we go look at it as soon as we had our jobs lined up and could qualify for a new mortgage.   We went and looked at the model on a Saturday and put money down for a lot a few days later.   Not too long after that we had our preconstruction meeting (lasted 1 1/2 days and we had to pick EVERYTHING), plans were submitted to the city, and construction began August 18th.   We were told by ence it should be 60 days until it is completed!
We are very excited but I'm a little nervous because of how expensive the house is.   It was way more than I was planning on but it definetely gives us room to grow and is "almost" my dream house.   My true dream house would probably cost another $100,000 😀.  We are planning on making this our forever house- at least until the kids are grown.
The subdivision is right next to a church and sunset elementary, so excited that they will be walking distance.  We are also excited to "explore" a new part of town.   I am bored with Washington

Brynlees first day of pre-k

How cute is this 4 year old?  She is signed up for the pre- k class at the Washington city community center

Bentley at 16 months

Bentley loves to stack things.   I was pretty impressed that he stacked 6 v8 cans at once before it fell over

Poor little boy dressed up like a girl

Cute sleeping kid at the cabin.  He would fall asleep on the 4 wheeler every single time.  And then he would stay asleep for a while

I love to just watch bentley outside playing. He is so funny

These 2 are so cute together (when they are not fighting).  They both love to look at books    Bentley loves to do whatever Brynlee is doing

Bentley is now 16 months and has quite the vocabulary.   But he will only talk when he wants to.   He refuses to say "more" or "drink" most of the time so he just grunts and we guess what he wants.   It works out pretty well for him so I guess he doesn't have much desire to change.

Here are some of the words he says
Naughty
Barney
Mimi (Brynlee)
Momma/ grandma (sounds the same)
Daddy/ducky/doggie (sounds the same)
Ball
Kitty
Jax (cousin Jaxon)
Hi
Bye
Bath
Baby
Nana (banana)
Bee
Bubble/ Apple (sounds the same)
Wawa (water)
Zelda
Eat
Moon
George (curious George)
Turtle
Boo
Boat
Blankie
Bonanza

His first "sentence" was "I did it"- which he says whenever he throws something down the stairs (all the time) or climbs in his high chair.
His next "sentence" was "read it", which he said while throwing a book at me

Bentley also says "bye bye love you" while blowing kisses.   So cute!

He loves to look at books, but really only the ones he wants at the time.   He will pick a book and carry it around with him for a few hours and want me to constantly look at it with him.   But if I pull out one of brynlees books he will not sit and look at it for even 1 second.

Bentley weighs 20 pounds (barely) and is still in the 4th percentile
He wears 6-12 month shorts and lately I have had to actually open the button sometimes to pull them up.   Some of his shirts are 6-12months and others are 12 months.
He wears size 3 diapers

We have started him on an appetite stimulant to get his weight up and also an acid reducer for acid reflux.   It is not fun trying to get him to take nasty medicine 3 times a day, but he actually takes them pretty good most of the time.

We have been giving him food with milk and he seems to do fine without causing diarrhea.   We did give him milk to drink and that didn't go so well, but that is fine with me.  I don't care if he drinks soy milk as long as I don't have to stress about every little food he eats having milk in it

He is finally sleeping better.   He goes to bed between 9 and 10 pm (depending on naps) and wakes up between 8 and 830 am most of the time.   We give him a bottle and sing to him, then lay him down in the crib.  He cries every single time but only for a few seconds
Naps are not always the best- especially when it is me trying to get him to sleep and I have to work that night( meaning I need a nap too).  Sometimes I go 24 hours without sleep by the time I get home in the morning if bentley won't nap the day before.

Bentley is sure cute and fun to have around.   We sure laugh a lot and love him to death 😄

Baker reservoir outing

One day we were going to make tin foil dinners in the oven, so john suggested we get out of town and do it in the mountains.   So we went to baker reservoir for a little while and explores the outdoors.  It was still hot though...

Just random...

One day bentley sat out playing in the rocks for 30 minutes.

He sure loves the iPad.  He thinks he is entitled to have it any second he wants

At the children's museum.   There were stuffed animals in the window and bentley would growl every time he saw them

Where does she learn how to pose like that?

At the splash pad.   Again, thank goodness for water proof casts in the summer!

Getting comfy in the high chair

Waking Brynlee up in her new big girl bed

One morning bentley was playing quietly in his room for a little while, so I let him.  Then I found out why he was being quiet.  He had most of the wipes out of the box and in his crib

For some weird reason our first snow cone outing wasn't until August!  I think probably because it was too hot outside to even eat ice.  Brynlee had the "frozen" snow cone flavor and enjoyed that it turned her mouth blue
