3 months old!

Brynlee turned 3 months on February 4th! She is still the cutest thing ever!
As you can see from the pictures below, she is chunky! Her cheeks are huge, double chin, 3 rolls on her legs... But I love it. And it's good to know she's not really huge as she still fits in her 0-3 month clothes, although some of them are now capris or shorts on her.

She still likes to eat a lot. She drinks 6 oz. every couple of hours. Brynlee is still very much a snacker and can take forever to finish a bottle. She is pretty good at holding her head up by herself, so I'm hoping to be able to start cereal next month.

Brynlee is still very smiley and happy. Compared to a lot of babies her age I think she still is a little high maintenance (that's the nice way of saying needy), but compared to how it used to be I will take it! It used to be that she was very shy around other people and wouldn't really smile for anyone but mom and dad. But now she will a lot more. Her cooing sounds are still my absolute favorite thing. We did get a few videos of it, but not much. On Monday she was laughing out loud all day! First, we were talking our dog Frank to get a shot. He was sitting on the seat right next to her and she looked over at him and laughed, then did it again 2 more times. Later in the day she just looked at me and laughed. So cute!

One night I really wanted to take a bath (for relaxation) and she needed a bath too (to get clean), so I decided to bring her in with me. It was so funny that she just laid there like she was so relaxed too. Every once in a while she would splash, but mostly just acted like she was in heaven. Like mother like daughter!

Brynlee loves to chew on her hands and not the pacifier much anymore. But that's a good thing because somehow the pacifiers all disappear, whereas her hands are always there.

As for sleeping- we have been having issues with that the past week. First, she started waking up 1 or 2 times after we had her asleep. She would go back to sleep after a little rocking, but still it was weird (and annoying when we need to do schoolwork). Then we decided to transition her into the crib (instead of the bouncy seat next to our bed) because I have to get up so early in the morning that it was hard to be awake half the night too. It took a few days, but then she was fine in her crib. Then she starting freaking out and screaming every night after we turned the lights out. She just knew it was bedtime and didn't want to go to bed. We think her crying means she's hungry so we give her the bottle. Then she is still crying and starts choking on the milk and can't breathe for a few seconds. Scares us to death. I know she is tired because she can barely keep her eyes open, but she sure has to fight it. Sometimes she will fight it and cry for an hour and a half before she finally gives in. So instead of her 9 PM bedtime, it's sometimes 10 or 11 PM. It's really not good for he parents because we both have work to do and we wait until she is asleep so we can have uninterrupted time. I will have to try either putting her to bed earlier or later.

I have been sick off and on for 3 weeks now. Severe sore throat, can't stop coughing, etc. I kept thinking she would be getting sick any day, but she never did. Until now. She just has a runny nose, so hopefully it doesn't get much worse. I'm learning how hard it is to take care of a baby when you feel like crap. Not fun.

These pictures just make us laugh so hard. She likes to put one of her arms up often.

Frank had to try on Brynlee's pink bow. He didn't like it much.

So excited she's flapping her arms.

Miss drooly

Love her big beautiful blue eyes & eyelashes!

This is the perfect example of why we don't have more video or pictures of the cute things she does. She sees the camera and she's done.
(Sorry there's 2 of the same thing, but I don't know how to get it off.)
