
Obituary:
He was a soft spoken, kind, and gentle man, full of integrity and well respected in the community. He loved and enjoyed being with his family and was always willing to give of his resources to help them and others in need.
Robert loved to fly; for pleasure, for business and to help others. He was an active member of the Civil Air Patrol and participated in many searches leading to the rescue of several people. He held many positions in the community. He was a member of the Rotary Club, the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce, and the Board of Directors of State Bank of Southern Utah. In 1991 he and Onda were inducted into the SUU Old Main Society.
He loved music. Having learned to play the French horn, violin and viola, he played in various community ensembles and orchestras throughout his life. He also sang in the ward choir for many years. He was an avid fisherman and loved to spend time at their Panguitch Lake cabin. He enjoyed growing a garden every summer.
He was a faithful and active member of the LDS Church having served in bishoprics and as Stake Finance Clerk for 25 years. He and Onda spent countless hours doing genealogical data entry.
Those welcoming him in a heavenly reunion are his wife; his parents; his sister, Marian Munson and brother-in-law, Stayner Thompson. Those left behind are his children Terri Winslow of Cedar City; Anita Munson of Washington, Utah; Karen (Russell) Goodrich of Price, Utah; Mark (Stacy) Bradshaw of Cedar City; sister Dorothy Thompson, brother Gail (Jane) Bradshaw and brother-in-law, Floyd Munson; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 4 at 1 pm at the Cedar 2nd/8th Ward Chapel, 212 West 200 South, Cedar City, Utah. Viewings will be held Thursday, March 3 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Southern Utah Mortuary, 190 North 300 West, Cedar City, Utah and on Friday from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm also at the mortuary prior to funeral services at the church. Internment will be at the Cedar City Cemetery, all under the direction of the Southern Utah Mortuary
