We drove to Ohio to see the Ohio Winslow's
We stayed a few days in Canton, then drove back (the long way)

Catharge Jail
Carthage, Illinois
This is where Joseph and his brother Hyrum Smith were sent.
A mob broke into the jail and and killed them June 1844
These dark rooms with the bars is where Joseph and Hyrum were kept most of the time
Joseph Smith was in this room when the mob broke into the jail. He was shot, then fell through this window.

Kirtland, Ohio
Many events of the church history occurred here
We took a day trip to Kirtland, which is only about 30 minutes from Canton
Brent & Brooke were generous to watch Brynlee for us
Lumber mill where they cut wood for the Kirtland temple

The Spirit was amazing as we listened to the older missionary tell us the stories
