Christmas Tree

John the Lumberjack

We went to Veyo to get a permit, then drove up in the mountains for a little while to find our tree. I was picturing snow and drinking hot chocolate as we did this because I've never cut down a Christmas tree before. But it was a tiny bit cold and I wouldn't have been too happy if it was much colder or there was snow to trek through.

Pointing to our perfect tree!

Cutting down the tree

John does all the dirty work and I just supervise. My only job is to carry the ax and not amputate anyone's limbs. It was hard, but we all survived.

Apparently the ornaments are too heavy. Who knew tiny ornaments could cause a tree to fall over?

Behold the finished product. (Don't mind the rest of the room, it is very much a work in progress as we finish the basement).

  1. I love your real Christmas tree! Eric has really bad allergies so we have to do with the fake one. I hope you had a happy birthday!
