Where do I begin?

Life has been busy to say the least.

My sister in law knew I loved gummy bears and bought me this giant gummy bear on a stick!! It was delicious and kind of weird to eat his ears and feet. I had already eaten the top part of the head in this picture.

New Years Eve

Basement:
The basement is finally finished! It was finished a few days before Christmas. John's dad did an amazing job on the basement. It seemed like it took forever only because the house was torn apart for a month, which drove me crazy. But we only had to pay for supplies (and sometimes he wouldn't even let us) so definitely no complaints there. I'm still trying to get the whole house back in shape. It felt like we moved because everything got reaarranged and changed to a new room, given away, etc. We realized we had a lot of stuff and it was nice to just move something from one room to the next rather than have to buy new furniture. The bathroom is not done yet, but that's okay with me because that's just 1 less bathroom to clean (that will be the 4th bathroom). Pictures to come soon.

Christmas:
With all the construction going on, I couldn't get to the Christmas decorations or I just didn't want to set it up on the crowded main floor, so the Christmas season came and went too fast. Hopefully it will be better next year. Christmas weekend was really busy. It's really nice having both of our families in the area, but it sure made for a lot of travel and craziness. We went to Cedar City for my families annual Christmas Eve program, but had it a little earlier in the day. Then we drove back to St. George for John's annual Christmas Eve dinner. It kind of sucks that the only thing both of our families ALWAYS do is on Christmas Eve, but it is possible to go to both. The next morning we slept in a little (before the kids come), then opened our present to each other. John totally spoiled me and didn't listen to a word I said about not buying a lot. He got me a putting green so I can practice my mini golf skills, pajama pants, lots of candy, several seasons of Friends, and lots of other stuff I can't think of at the moment. John received a magazine subscription to National Geographic traveler, scripture case, BYU tie & beanie, and other stuff I can't remember either. Santa brought us tennis & racquetball rackets. The rest of the day we spent opening presents with my mom, John's parents, then lunch at John's sisters and dinner with my Dad. The next day we went back to Cedar City to snowshoe with my Dad.
New Years
We made plans with our really good friends Eric & Brittany for New Years Eve. They came over around 5 PM (so we could show off the basement) and we ate snacks for a little while. Then we went downstairs to play games. About 2 seconds after we started playing Catch Phrase, Eric gets called in to work. So that was the end. Later, we were watching TV for a little while and fell asleep. We woke up at 12:02 to realize the ball had already dropped on tv. John was disappointed that he didn't get his official New Year's kiss, but oh well. We are soo boring.
New Years day we had lunch with Eric & Brittany then went to Blindside.
