For our actual 1 year anniversary we didn't do much. But one reason is because we have done a lot in the past year. We went to New York City last November then the Philippines in May/June. We also got a dog and got pregnant. With the real anniversary on Sunday, we originally planned to go camping on Friday night, fishing Saturday afternoon, and dinner on Saturday night. That all got changed because of rainy weather in the mountains and John having to be on-call for work even though it was not his turn. :( We started the weekend off by registering for baby gifts at Walmart on Friday night. Saturday we went to Chili's for lunch, then on to Target to finish the baby registry. We went home and took naps, then I went to work at the hospital for the night shift. Sunday John had to manage our primary class by himself while I slept. We went to the Miller's for a delicious meatloaf dinner. That night we drank our favorite sparkling apple cider (or Martinelli's as we like to call it) and some 1 year old cake. This pregnancy has changed my eating habits a lot and I could have eaten the whole top of the cake because I crave sweets so much. I thought it tasted the same as a year ago, but I really didn't like cake that much a year ago so it actually tastes better when you are craving cake (if that makes any sense). Anyway, John had 1 bite and was done. It's nice to have more room in our freezer now :)
The weekend was kind of uneventful, but we had a good time. We are happy and healthy, have a house, cars, jobs, and a baby on the way so everything is going well. We look forward to many more years of anniversaries!
Hey if you can still wear the same shirt you wore in you engagement pictures then you must not be very prego yet. I hope you have a great anniversary, I can't believe it's been a year since we were last in America!
