We dyed some Easter eggs for family home evening the Monday before Easter.
I saw the whisk idea on pinterest. You put the egg in the whisk so hands and fingers don't get dye on them. It worked pretty well, but needed a few more whisks.
Brynlee was very impatient and wanted a new egg every second. It was a little frustrating, but we had a good time. As usual, John had the most creative and artistic eggs.
John made this Elmo egg for Brynlee. He just used a white crayon, didn't need any fancy egg decorating crayons.
I heard on the radio there was an easter egg hunt at one of the car dealerships on Friday. I wasn't planning on going, but then all the plans changed that morning, so at the last minute I decided to go. They said it started promptly at 10AM and stupid me didn't know where I was going and also didn't realize that school was out so basically the entire community was there. My mom came with and dropped me and Brynlee off at the entrance so she could find a parking place. My watch said 9:59 when we got to the parking lot, and by the time we got to where the race was (20 seconds later) it was over!!! We drove across town and had an empty basket. But at least we got a picture with the easter bunny!
There was another easter egg hunt at the washington city park on saturday. I had to work, so John took Brynlee. She did manage to get a lot of candy there.
Cute Easter dress from Grandma and Grandpa Miller
The final easter egg hunt was on Sunday, at John's parents backyard. All of his siblings were in town, so lots of kids! It was fun to be with everyone and had a great lunch!
